Smile and be happy for everyone.

Sometimes we want what others have and we may not always be able to achieve that "want" at the moment, but it is not a reason to give up.  That's when you should think about what you already have and be grateful, but not only being grateful for what you have is going to get you what you want.  You have to be happy for those around and what they have too.

I asked a few people to let me know what makes them happy and what they are grateful for.  Enjoy what others have to say and be happy for them.  Don't be selfish and complain about something they have that you want.  Be grateful for what you have at this moment and things will only get better.  Maybe they might remind you of something you should be grateful for.

What makes me happy:  My dude, our daughter, tattoos, when strangers are nice, and cupcakes.
What I am grateful for:  My pappy, good friends, to have a hard working man, that we're all healthy, and I appreciate electricity since not having it for a week during hurricane Sandy.

What makes me happy:  My hubby, my son, my dog, sunshine, and cannolis.
What I am grateful for:  Family, friends, my faith, my health, my home.

What makes me happy:  My wife, my son, wrestling, fishing, beer.
What I am grateful for:  Good family,  a job I like, and my health.

What I am grateful for:  My wife, our dogs, my parents, our house, and our baby on the way.

What I am grateful for:  My kids, my dog, my friends, and my whole family.

What I am grateful for:  My supportive and loving family, the friends that give me things to smile about even on boring days, that I am able to afford school and pursue my dreams, my faith, and peace/hope it brings me to face each day, and that I am able to be an independent young woman who is learning about herself every day.

What I am grateful for:  I am grateful for my kids more than anything else.  They are the reason I live and love.  I am grateful that they have grown through my example to be open minded and blind to color and religion.  I am grateful for my parents because they made me the man I am today.  I am grateful for my health because I know there are many less fortunate than I.  And last I am grateful for living in this country with freedoms I have.

What I am grateful for:  Waking up to another day, a roof over my head, the chance to spend the rest of my life with someone who loves me for me, my family, and the time that I did have with my dad.

What I am grateful for: my family, my friends, life, my education, and happiness.

I love you because....

Hello everyone!  I apologize for not keeping up with the blogging lately, I just recently finished school and have just been lazy now that I have time to be!! :)  Any-hoo I just wanted to post a quick tutorial of a craft I actually made on new years but never used it.  You all know my husband and I are expecting (7 weeks today yayy!!) and lately he has been mentioning to me how he sort of feels left out because everyone is giving me the pregnant lady all the attention.  With most pregnancies this is the case because the father is not the one carrying the baby, but we all must remember that he took a part in creating the little miracle too!!  So I whipped out the craft I made on news years and have been putting it to good use.  It is a cute way to remind your spouse or significant other why you love them so much!!

Things you will need:
  • An 8x10 frame (or any size you prefer)
  • Puffy paint (in any color)
  • a plain colored piece of paper
  • a dry erase marker
Very simple steps.
  1. With the puffy paint write "I love you because..." in what ever type of font you would like.
  2. let it dry over night.
  3. Frame the colored piece of paper that is used as a background.
  4. with the dry erase marker you can write reasons why you love your significant other so much and erase it very easily.
Display it some where they will see it everyday!!  Mine is in our kitchen haha don't mind my little Rat friend! :)

Teach Peace

Lately others keeping telling me that my positivity is contagious and it makes them want to be more positive! That is the greatest feeling to here that I can have such an impact on others and help them take steps to live a more positive life, but even I someones can have the blues. When I feel down I immediately try to do something to change that feeling. Whether it is reading quotes or looking at the Instagram accounts I follow that are all about positivity and peace! If we all open our eyes and see the beauty we can find so much to inspire us! Things or people that make you want to be more positive.
These last couple months have been the best months of my entire life. Finally I am beginning to understand what life is truly about! I have never been happier! Living my life by the secret and manifesting and receiving what I want in life all by staying positive and spreading the love. My relationship with my husband is absolutely amazing, better than it has ever been and we are so excited to be having our first child! I can not stress enough how we all must teach peace and positivity to our children. If we all work together we can make this a better place not only for ourselves but for those in the future.

Grateful Thankful Box.

Happy New Year Everyday!!

I hope everyone's year ended well and was filled with positivity.  The last activity was to jot down things you did to help those around, in order to end 2012 giving back to others instead of always receiving.  2012 was an amazing year for my husband and myself.  We had the opportunity to attend friends weddings as well as my brother in-law and sister in-law's wedding, which as absolutely amazing, I finished my college classes and started my last clinical round, which by the way ends in two weeks and than I graduate :), we had our first year anniversary and we recently found out that we are expecting a baby!!  I am happier than I have ever been and I know 2013 will only be better than the last, especially now that we know it is the year our first child will be born!

The new activity can last for years!!

What you will need:

  • a box that can hold pictures and note cards.
  • 365 note cards (Walmart has them for 100 for 48 cents)
  • 12 photos (4x6)

This will be a grateful/thankful box.
You will start each note card by writing the day at the top so for example December 1st, but do not put the year.

On the first line write 2013 and jot down something you were grateful/thankful for that day.  The reason you do not want to put the year on the top of the card is because as the days go by you place the card in the back of the pile and when next year comes you add to that same card, same day but different year.  After the years go by you can go back and look at all of the things you were grateful/thankful for, for the past years.

The photos are to separate the 12 months.

here are a few examples of the cards:

(My sister in-law's and my own)

Next year we will add on to that same card but start with 2014!

I hope everyone has fun with this activity and keeps up with your daily grateful/thankfuls.  If you don't have the chance to put together the box today jot down your grateful/thankfuls on a separate sheet of paper and transfer later.

On another note..

WE ARE PREGNANT!!

I know I previously stated that up above but I am so ecstatic I can not stop thinking about it!  We are very grateful for our miracle.  I can not wait to take this journey with my husband these next 9 months.  I am so excited to be pregnant and watch my belly grow as our baby grows.  I have so many ideas for positivity projects for moms, dads and their kids that I will post throughout the year!!  I know I am not that far along but I already am in love with this little miracle and can not wait to meet him or her!!
